The premier classic car show of Santa Cruz County, Cops ‘N Rodders, brings its magic to Skypark, at the Scotts Valley Art, Wine & Beer Festival’s opening day, Saturday, August 17th.
The event, benefiting the Scotts Valley Police Department, begins at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk at 8 a.m., SVPD will escort the parade of classic cars that will begin at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and will cruise along through the Capitola esplanade up to beautiful Skypark in Scotts Valley.
Over 100 classic cars and vintage trailers – from the 1920s through the 1980s – driven by their proud owners are on display. The acclaimed Police Chief’s Choice Award, presented annually by the Scotts Valley Chief of Police to the owner of the most spectacular classic car. Each year, the winning car is displayed on the following year’s Cops ‘N Rodders T-shirt! The 2018 Winner Best in Show on the shirts is a 1952 GMC Pickup owner Gary Feuerhaken
Judging begins at 9am and award winners are announced at 2:00pm.

The car show begins with registration at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Show participants then engage in a police-escorted cruise along East Cliff Drive to Capitola. The cruise will then travel to Skypark Park in Scotts Valley where cars will be displayed to the public. Registered cars will be judged, and the best two cars in each category will be honored with a plaque. In addition, one participant will receive the Chief’s Choice award for Best in Show and their vehicle will be displayed on the event t-shirt the following year. Proceeds from the event are donated to the Scotts Valley Peace Officer’s Association Charitable Foundation.
